Privacy

telangana.ai has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking.

What we collect

Nothing about you personally. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. It counts visits anonymously on its own server (below). The exceptions are posts from X on the home page, the 3D map on the Kaleshwaram page and, if you choose a party, a random device ID (below).

Use my location

If you choose "Use my location", your browser finds your constituency on your device. Your position is never sent to us or anyone else.

Settings on your device

Your theme choice (light or dark) and your recent searches are remembered in your browser's local storage, on your device only. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Posts from X

On the home page, top posts from X and posts by party leaders are shown with X's own embeds. When you scroll to them, your browser loads X's embed code from platform.twitter.com, which may set cookies and is covered by X's privacy policy; we ask X not to use the visit for personalisation. The public pulse is built from public posts on X: we keep only daily totals, never post text or account details, and no one's political views are inferred.

Readers' choice

If you press a party under "Who do you back" on the home page, your browser keeps a random device ID; we store only a keyed hash of it with the party you chose, so the same device is not counted twice. To limit repeat choices we also count new choices per network per day, keyed by a hash of your IP address and the day; those counts are deleted after two days. Nothing that identifies you is kept.

Visitor count

The home page shows how many people read the site, counted without cookies or analytics scripts. Each page view is counted on our server; a reader is counted once a day using a keyed hash of their network address, browser type and the date, which is deleted after two days, so no one can be followed from one day to the next. Known bots are not counted. In the same way, each article shows how many readers it has had (once a day per article), and the home page shows the three countries most readers come from, using the country code our hosting provider reports for each request; only daily totals per article and per country are kept.

Maps from other services

The 3D map on the Kaleshwaram page loads map tiles and place names from OpenFreeMap, terrain from Amazon Web Services (the open Terrain Tiles dataset) and, only if you switch on the satellite view, imagery from Esri. Your browser connects to those services directly, so they see your network address, as with any website. Nothing else is sent to them. Readers who save data or are on a slow connection get the site's own map unless they choose to load the 3D one.

Hosting

The site is served by a hosting provider whose servers keep standard request logs (such as IP address and page requested) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify readers.

Candidates

Pages about candidates show only what the Election Commission publishes under law: name, party, age, category and votes. No addresses, contact details or family information are shown. No voter-level data is ever stored.
